There are however two additional factors that should be considered; Bylaws, and Sign & Letter maintenance.
Each city has its own set of Bylaws that you should be aware of; which can usually be found on the particular City's website. Generally the Bylaws regulate the duration and placement of Temporary Signs on City and Private Commercial Property. For the Calgary area, we strongly recommend that you review the following Bylaws governing Temporary Sign use:
Sign Maintenance is the second factor that should be considered. The steel frames require very little maintenance, but should be painted every two to three years. In addition to the frame maintenance, letters will need to be cleaned and replaced depending on the environment and exposure to direct sunlight. It is important to remember that the appearance of your sign is a potential customer's first impression of you and your business, so it should be kept well maintained.
